I am specialist Developmental Paediatrician with dual fellowship qualifications in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics, and General Paediatrics. I am passionate about helping children from infancy to adolescence and I enjoy working with families to support their child’s health, development, and wellbeing.
I have particular interests in caring for children with developmental delays and behavioral difficulties in early childhood. I have expertise in the diagnosis and management of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Specific Learning Disorders.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Community Child Health and General Paediatrics) and a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia. I completed paediatric training in various hospitals in South-East Queensland including the former Royal Children’s and Mater Children’s Hospitals, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. I have most recently been working as a consultant Developmental Paediatrician in specialist paediatric clinics in public healthcare settings in Brisbane.
My work and experience has given me a great interest and ability to provide comprehensive medical and developmental care to children with a broad range of issues and challenges. As a mother of three children, I understand the everyday demands associated with parenting as well as parents’ broader hopes for their children. My own personal experience has given me greater empathy for the families I work with and the challenges of parenting in the world today. I prioritise getting to know my patients and find great fulfillment in seeing a child reach their full potential while supporting families on this journey.
