Holly has worked in the field of neurodiversity throughout her professional career of 23 years and as such has specialised in developmental paediatrics and the assessment and support of neurodiverse young people. As a registered nurse in this specialist area and a qualified social worker, she has also completed extensive post graduate study and training to extend her qualifications in this field.
Holly moved to Australia in 2014 from the UK, where she worked as a specialist learning disability nurse, registered social worker for children with additional needs and a child health nurse. Since then, Holly has continued her career and education in developmental paediatrics, working in the public health system across child development services, nurse navigation for children with additional needs and now as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specialising and credentialed in developmental paediatrics.
Holly holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in nursing for people with Learning Disabilities, a Diploma in social work, a Post Graduate Diploma in public health nursing (health visiting) and a Masters of Nurse Practitioner.
Holly has a specific interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Intellectual Disability and Specific Learning Disorders. As such she also has specific interests and skills in positive behaviour support, building social skills, functional capacity building and supporting/advocating for families of neurodiverse children and young people.
In her downtime, Holly enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible with family and friends and any opportunity to be around horses.
