I have been with CDN since 2005 when it was still located on the Mater campus at South Brisbane. Initially from Adelaide, my family and I moved to Brisbane for a "city change" in the early 2000's. I'd always worked in medical environments but never in paediatrics. Originally employed by CDN as a medical typist, my role has gradually altered over the years and now typing makes up only a tiny part of what I do - the CDN office is a busy place! It's wonderful to see the dedicated professionals here working with and helping our client base of children and their families. As a member of CDN's admin team my goal is provide our doctors and allied health staff with the support they need so they may continue to do this important work.
I commenced working for CDN in May 2009, which was then located in South Brisbane. I was just doing the medical filing at that time. As the rooms have now expanded with more specialists so have my duties and responsibilities. No day is the same and I enjoy all aspects of it. Outside of CDN I am kept busy with my husband and three children.
My family and I moved from Sydney to Brisbane 14 years ago. I have three children aged 11 years, 20 years and 21 years. I have worked as a Medical Receptionist/Secretary for a Haemato/Oncologist in Brisbane City for the past 6 years and joined CDN in January 2017. I have found CDN to be a challenging but enjoyable role.
I have a busy life outside of work with my 11year old daughter’s commitments of swimming and Girl Guides. I am President of the Moggill Girl Guides Support Group and am also part of the Bellbowrie Swim Club Committee. I spend my spare time caring for my assortment of pets, especially my three Ragdoll Cats.
Last year we were excited to announce the arrival of our first Grandchild. I am looking forward to getting to know the many happy faces I am meeting each day at CDN.
